If you would like to proceed with a custom domain (i.e. yourevent.org) or subdomain (i.e. yourevent.yourwebsite.org) we ask that you register this with your IT provider or domain registrar so you have complete control over the domain moving forward. As part of our service to you, we will provide hosting and an SSL certificate via our Amazon Web Services account. If you decide to move forward, let your professional services consultant know the custom domain or subdomain address and they will initiate the process below:

1. Verify domain ownership. This is done via an email sent to the administrator’s email addresses associated with the domain as per the AWS documentation here. This email expires in 72 hours. If you don’t have access to any emails connected with the domain we can provide a DNS record to complete the ownership verification process.
2. SSL certificate. After your domain ownership has been verified, the SSL certificate will be issued. 
3. Hosting. We will set up your site hosting and be in touch again to provide you with the A record and CNAME for you to add/update in the DNS records with your domain registrar.

Note: this final step can take 24-48 hours to propagate but we usually find this happens within a few hours.
