Themed Fundraiser Coaching Emails

Raise more money and reach more supporters with JustGiving® from Blackbaud®;

Themed fundraiser coaching emails are available within the JustGiving fundraiser lifecycle and can be configured for your Landing Page or Microsite.

If you choose to activate the themed fundraiser coaching emails, you can indicate your preference in your workbook submission. You won't need to provide us with anything, the email templates are populated dynamically from JustGiving. Logos, banner images, campaign and fundraiser data will be sourced from your JustGiving campaign and JustGiving charity profile.

Your email journey will use the following images and details:

  • Charity name - JustGiving charity profile
  • Charity logo - JustGiving charity profile 
  • Campaign name - JustGiving campaign
  • Campaign cover image - JustGiving campaign
  • Campaign custom landing page URL or JustGiving campaign page URL - JustGiving campaign
  • Fundraiser's name - JustGiving campaign
  • Campaign custom fundraising page URL or JustGiving fundraising page URL - JustGiving campaign

There are two versions of the themed fundraiser coaching emails available to suit your campaign:

1. Fitness email journey

Fundraisers are using the Strava integration and/or manual activity tracker to track an activity (i.e. distance, cupcakes, books read, push-ups).

2. Non-fitness email journey

Fundraisers are not using the Strava integration or tracking an activity.

The fitness email journey

The fitness email journey includes 10 emails to support your fundraisers throughout your fitness event. It is important to ensure that you provide an event start and end date so that your fundraisers receive the information relevant to them.

Page Created

This email is automatically triggered when a fundraiser creates their fundraising page for your event.

1 day after page created

Your fundraisers will receive this email to help them customise their page and increase page engagement. If you choose to turn off the Strava integration for your virtual event, this content will not appear in the email.

4 days after page created

4 days after their page is created, we will provide your fundraisers with easy and effective hints to help them share their page and maximize their fundraising.

Start of event

All fundraisers receive this email on the start date of your challenge to remind them to get moving and post an update on their page! If you choose to turn off the Strava integration for your virtual event, this content will not appear in the email.

Half way

This email will be sent half way through the event and motivates the fundraiser to begin or boost their fundraising.

End of event

On the final day of your event, an email will go out with a prewritten message to encourage your fundraisers to share their page one last time.

First donation

We'll recognise fundraising success by sending your fundraisers a real-time email when they receive their first donation.

50% of fundraising goal

This email will automatically send when your fundraisers reach 50% of their fundraising page goal, encouraging them to share their achievement online with a prewritten message.

100% of fundraising goal

When your fundraisers reach their fundraising target, we'll immediately let them know and celebrate their success with a congratulatory email.

The non-fitness email journey

The non-fitness journey includes 10 emails designed to support a wider range of campaign types, from a virtual gala to a chili cook-off.

Page created

Email is automatically triggered when a fundraiser creates their fundraising page for your event.

1 day after page created, hasn't updated story

Using our unique behavioral triggers, we'll send your fundraisers an email to help them customize their fundraising page story if they haven't already done so.

1 day after page created, has updated story

If your fundraisers have customized their fundraising page story, we'll send them an email to thank them for making their page their own and help them post an update.

4 days after page created no donations

This email helps recipients begin or boost their fundraising.

7 days after page created

7 days after their page is created, we will provide your fundraisers with easy and effective hints to help them share their page.

14 days after page created

Fundraisers receive an email 14 days after their page is created encouraging them to engage with your virtual event website and develop a deeper understanding of how their fundraising contributes to your charity mission.

First donation

We'll recognize fundraising success by sending your fundraisers a real-time email when they receive their first donation.

50% of fundraising target

This email will automatically send when your fundraisers reach 50% of their fundraising page goal, encouraging them to share their achievement online with a prewritten message.

100% of fundraising goal

When your fundraisers reach their fundraising page goal, we'll immediately let them know and celebrate their success with a congratulatory email.
